Catalina Laurenzano is a licensed professional counselor. She received her masters in Counseling Psychology in Boulder, Colorado. Catalina is originally from Colombia and comes to Cherokee Center for Change Counseling with over 8 years of counseling experience working with traumatized clients. She is fluent in both English and her native Spanish.
For the last 4 years, Catalina has specialized in working with children ages 3 to 17 treating not only trauma, but a variety of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, social skills, irritability, outbursts, experiences of bullying, and divorce/separation of parents. She is committed to find creative and experiential methods to help children and adolescents reach their full potential. Catalina has experience consulting with schools, child welfare, and supporting parents to assure the children have the environment necessary to flourish.
