Therese holds a BA degree in Psychology form University of Tennessee and a MS degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. She specializes in treating adolescents, young adults and adult women of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression and past unresolved trauma. She also works with individuals and couples struggling with relationship issues. Therese recognizes that humans were made to be in relationship with others and many relationship, mental health and emotional issues stem from unhealthy relationships, with self or others.
Therese takes a holistic approach to counseling integrating the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of a client’s life. As an Adlerian Therapist, Therese uses a strength base, positive approach to counseling. She is trained in trauma resolution and equine assisted psychotherapy, bringing a unique perspective into the office and counseling relationship. With appropriate tools and insight, client can make changes, moving towards better mental health and healthier relationships.
Therese has received training in the Natural Lifemanship model of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and works in the TRoT program at CCCCI.
