Debra W. Thompson

Debra is a Certified Trauma Counselor specializing in trauma and grief counseling for children, women, and families. Debra realizes that grief takes many forms including death, relationship loss, and infertility. She also works with parents to understand their children and practice better parenting. Debra uses hypnotherapy for trauma and anxiety along with other techniques. She sees children  4+, adolescent girls and adults.

Debra is a Licensed Professional Counselor. With a background in pediatric nursing, then school counseling, she decided to follow a mental health counseling path.  Debra received an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Graduate degrees in Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi and Georgia State University. Debra has worked for more than 15 years in public and private counseling settings. She does the new counselor supervision, for CCCI.
